Creating a time lapse night sky video with Canon 600D

Finally there was some clear sky on last weekend and I had a change to try night sky photoshooting. Some weeks ago I installed Magic Lantern into my Canon 600D and there are some really neat features including Intervalometer. This makes it really easy for a time lapse shooting.

So I tried this on my backyard and therefore there’s some interrupting light from the cars passing by. Next time I will go to a nearby hill middle of nowhere to test different settings.

Here are my ”backyard” settings:
Objective Canon 50mm
ISO1600
f/2.5
Shutter 13s
ML timer 16s
ML capture 200 images (total time 53min)
